A FINE RUSSIAN ICON OF THE EVANGELIST ST. MARK, 19TH CENTURY. Executed on a circular wood panel with single spline, this icon was most certainly once formed the four part grouping of Evangelists which are generally displayed on the royal doors of an Iconostas. Diameter 8.75 inches (22 cm).
