A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE GILT BRONZE 17-LIGHT CANDELABRA, 19TH CENTURY. Resting on a scalloped trefoil base, supported by three acanthus form feet with chased decoration beneath pierced arched openwork sides displaying intertwined winged griffins beneath a squashed spherical capital from which rises the column with openwork scroll decorated central node and decorated with scrolling vines and floral head elements, beneath a large openwork grape and wheat motif double drip pan, supporting six arched brackets holding the large pierced circular collar upon which is mounted 12 candles beneath a similar pierced collar holding five candles. Later electrified. Height 73.5 inches (186.8 cm).
