three sections and depicting the Virgin Mary standing upon a serpent as
taken from the book of Revelation. Height 79", width 27.5" (201cm x 70cm).
Estimate $3,000-$5,000;Born in Germany in 1873, Keck immigrated to America
at an early age and apprenticed at the stained glass workshop of Louis
Comfort Tiffany for 15 years. Eventually, Keck would open his own stained
glass studio (1913) and by 1920 had earned a reputation as one of the best
stained glass designers in the business. |
