125 A FINE AND IMPORTANT ICON: The Baptism of Christ, circa 1625. The thickness and size of the panel would suggest this icon was once part of the Festival Tier of an iconostasis. Together with expertise from the Andrey Rublev Museum of Art Moscow - dated February 2005 and also confirming the date of 1625. 18.25"x15" (46cmx 38cm). Estimate $8,000-$12,000

127 A FINE OLD RUSSIAN ICON IN THREE REGISTERS probably Vologda, circa 1650. The upper left corner with the Kazan Mother of God, upper right corner depicting the "Descent Into Hades". The lower margin with 11 selected saints including John the Forerunner, the Venerable Jacob, Nickolas, Philip of Moscow, Mary of Egypt, Lubov, and others. 12"x10.5" (30.5cm x 27cm).
