313 A RUSSIAN ICON: Saint Seraphim of Sarov, circa 1900. Here the great spiritual elder (Starets) is depicted in the wilderness praying before the icon he called his "joy of joys" which hangs in the tree before him. Around his neck a bronze cross, in his hand a chotki (prayer rope). 12"x10.5" (30.5cm x 26.5cm). Estimate $400-$600
314 A RUSSIAN ICON: Saint Innocent Bishop of Irkutsk, circa 1890. The gilded background and border ornately incised and painted in faux enameling. Probably originally acquired by a pilgrim to the Cathedral in Irkutsk. 10.5"x8.75" (27cm x 22cm). Estimate $500-$750
315 A RUSSIAN ICON: Saint Prokopiy of Ustyug, circa 1890. Here Prokopiy is shown along the banks of the river, two angels carrying an icon of the Mother of God. In the background the church was dedicated to Prokopiy and an image of his coffin. The gilded borders and background ornately incised and with faux enameling. 12.25"x10.5" (31cm x 26.5cm).
