A MASSIVE FABERGE SILVER AND CABOCHON SET KOVSH Moscow, circa 1908-. The lobed body decorated with a profusion of strapwork, scrolling foliage and set with six cabochons. The ogee arch-form handle decorated with a relief of an Alkonost (the Bird of Paradise). Marked K. Faberge under the Imperial Warrant, 88 standard and Moscow circa 1908- and with scratched inventory number 21363 (see illustration). Length 13.1 inches (33.4 cm). Estimate $20,000-$25,000 |
