A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT &NIELLO 4-PC DINNER SERVICE, Vologda 1844. The handles and bowls finely chased and nielloed overall with cornucopia and scrolling foliage. Assay mark of Vologda, dated 1844 and various Vologda makers. Length of knife 10.25 inches (26 cm). Estimate $400-$700

A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND NIELLO SERVING SPOON Khlebnikov, Moscow 1895, together with four similar nielloed teaspoons. The bowls nielloed with images of famous Moscow Cathedrals including Christ the Savior and the Kremlin Cathedrals amongst others. The serving spoon marked with the Cyrillic maker's mark of Ivan Khlebnikov and the Imperial Warrant, Moscow assay mark and dated 1895. The others with the Cyrillic maker's mark of Stephan Kuzmich Levin, and Moscow assay mark circa 1899-1908. Greatest length 8.1 inches (20.8 cm). Estimate $300-$500

A PAIR OF RUSSIAN SILVER CIGARETTE CASES Moscow 1908-1917. The hinged lids depicting scenes from famous Russian paintings "Ivan the Terrible Killing His Son" by Repin and "Bird Catchers". Both with Moscow assay mark of 1908-1917 and Cyrillic maker's mark A.P. - Andre Postnikov and K.S. - Konstantin Skvortsov. The first with a later dedicatory inscription on verso.
