THREE FINE RUSSIAN LACQUER BOXES, MSTERA AND KHOLUI, SIGNED, CIRCA 2000. Comprising a rectangular lacquer box with hinged lid displaying a hand painted scene from the fairy tale of the legendary Bogatyr warrior known as Dobrynya Nikitich, artist signed in Cyrillic and inscribed Mstera, 5 inches x 6.75 inches (12.5 x 17.5 cm); a rectangular box with fitted lid displaying a hand painted scene from the Russian fairy tale "Vasilisa the Beautiful", artist signed in Cyrillic and inscribed Kholui, 8 inches x 4.75 inches (20 x 12 cm); and a rectangular box with hinged lid depicting a hand painted scene from the famous folk tale "Sivka Burka", artist signed in Cyrillic and inscribed Mstera, 6.75 inches x 5.6 inches (17 x 14 cm).
