A PAIR OF RUSSIAN ICONS, 19TH CENTURY. Comprising a double sided processional icon depicting the Risen Christ and the Kazan Mother of God, executed on an engraved gilt brass panel, 12.75 inches x 11.25 inches (32.5 x 28.6 cm). Together with an icon of the Mother of God Joy to All Who Sorrow with coins, lifting paint and losses, contained in a gilt lined shadowbox frame in poor condition. The icon 10.5 inches x 8.75 inches (27 x 22 cm).
