A PAIR OF SPANISH CARVED POLYCHROME WOOD AND IVORY CRUCIFIXION FIGURES, 19TH CENTURY. Depicting the mourning Madonna and the Apostle St. John from a crucifixion grouping. Carved in full round with deep folds and good proportions, the face, hands and feet carved in ivory and the heads set with glass eyes and hair eyelashes. Height 12.6 inches (32 cm). Paint loss and overpainting.
