A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE CHINESE CARVED IVORY CENSER, PROBABLY LATE QING DYNASTY. The ovoid body with figural dragon medallions, raised on three carved claw legs with mask form terminals and flanked with dragon form extending handles with loose suspension rings below a three tiered pagoda shaped shrine containing 18 various Immortals and terminating with a carved double gourd vase finial. Displayed on a later overlaid ivory incised carved plinth. Total height 24.5 inches (62.3 cm).
