A PAIR OF RUSSIAN ICONS, OIL ON CANVAS, 19TH CENTURY. The first depicting the Apostle St. John with his attribute, the eagle, as identified by the Old Church Slavonic inscription above his head. Together with an icon of St. Luke with his attribute, the winged bull, and as identified by the Old Church Slavonic inscription above his head. Each 40.5 inches x 30.5 inches (102.8 x 77.4 cm), unframed.
