A PAIR OF TIBETAN BUDDHAS, 19TH/20TH CENTURY. Comprising a large Tibetan papier-mâché Buddha depicted in seated form with an ebonized and parcel gilt finish, raised on a later conforming wood base. Height 25.75 inches (65.5 cm). And a Tibetan parcel gilt iron figure of Buddha, perhaps earlier than 19th century, raised on a stepped lotus plinth with red oxide and gilt finish, later mounted on a probably French gilt bronze footed stand. Some repair. Total height 17.25 inches (44 cm).
