A RUSSIAN SILVER CARD CASE, GRACHEV, ST. PETERSBURG, 1886. The sides finely engraved with maps, coats of arms, figures, views and statistics. One side relating to the city of Orlov, and the other to Vaza, Russia. The top of fitted lid engraved with statistics denoting the respective distances in versts from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, dated 1886, Latin maker's mark J.O. for Johan Olsonius, and retailer's mark in Cyrillic GRACHEV. Height 3.75 inches (9.5 cm). Total weight 5.74 troy ounces.
