AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN PANAGIA, ST. PETERSBURG, 1896-1908. At center, a medallion icon of Christ the Lord Almighty surrounded by two rows of faux or possibly genuine garnets mounted with a gem encrusted swivel crown finial and below, an encrusted tear shaped pendant. Suspended from a silver oval flat link chain. The panagia hallmarked St. Petersburg 1896-1908 and with Cyrillic maker’s mark PV probably for Pavel Voronov; and the chain with maker's initials AA. Panagia length 5.6 inches (14.3 cm), chain length approximately 43 inches (109 cm).
