A RUSSIAN GOLD AND ENAMELED LORGNETTE, PAVEL SAZIKOV, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1896-1908. The collapsible fold-out optics held within a shield form pendant of translucent enamel over a wavy guilloche ground, enclosed within a chased gold frame and set with double swagged garland suspended from a ribbon tied bow and set with cabochons. Verso engraved with two Cyrillic monograms and dated Odessa 1909. Hallmarked St. Petersburg circa 1896-1908, stamped with Cyrillic maker's mark PS and with 56 gold standard (14K). Together with an approximately 58 inch gold chain, maker's mark in Latin HR and gold standard 585. Length of lorgnette when open 7 inches (17.8 cm).
