A FRENCH GILT BRONZE MINIATURE PICTURE FRAME, 19TH CENTURY. Displaying a later (probably second half of the 20th century) hand painted bust portrait of Peter the Great in armor, executed on a mother of pearl ground. The top of frame with gilt ribbon device and each corner set with laurels around a circular gilt bezel. Verso with suspension device, fold-out strut stand missing. Diameter of painting 2.25 inches (6 cm), overall height of frame 5 inches (12.7 cm).
