A NEARLY LIFE-SIZE AUSTRIAN TERRA COTTA BUST OF A BLACK BANJO PLAYER, CIRCA 1900. Attributed to Friedrich Goldscheider probably after the original by Louis Hottot (1834-1905). Finely sculpted in the round with good anatomy, proportional and detailed cold painted finish. The removable banjo in polychrome terra cotta as well. Height 29.5 inches (75 cm).
