A LARGE COLLECTION OF 14 FINE DAGUERREOTYPE CASED PORTRAITS, MID 19TH CENTURY. Comprising four 1/6th plate cased portraits of distinguished looking gentleman, one with hand colored facial features and one with a gold tinted ring and watch chain and contained in a "black Japan and mother of pearl" case, two 1/6th plate portraits of young women including one wearing a fine lace collared dress; a 1/6th plate portrait of an elderly husband and wife; a 1/6th plate portrait of two young boys, possibly twins, in matching white suits; and five 1/9th plate portraits of a man and four women including a very fine exposure of a young girl wearing crucifix and gold toned jewelry. Some covers loose or absent.
