A FINE JAPANESE SHIBIYAMA STYLE IVORY AND ENAMELED SILVER MOUNTED VASE, MEIJI PERIOD. The carved ivory cylinder inset with a carved mother of pearl, coral and hardstone design of birds and cherry blossoms raised on an enameled silver foot and terminating with an enameled silver neck mounted with figural dragon form silver handles. Signed with gilt chop inset tile. Height 6.5 inches (16.5 cm).
