In the lower right corner an angel speaks to the Myrrh-bearing women and at mid left an angel binds Hades. At the lower central section Christ stands above the broken gates of Hades as he grasps the hand of Adam while Eve kneels at his feet. Behind, various other Old Testament righteous men and women are freed from their captivity seen stepping out of the jaws of hell they wind upward towards the gates of heaven. There the righteous thief holding a cross awaits entry into heaven guarded by a six-winged Seraph. Inside he is shown meeting Enoch and Elijah.
