AN INTERESTING RUSSIAN SILVER STEAMSHIP/SAILING PRESENTATION TROPHY, SAZIKOV, ST. PETERSBURG, 1867. The domed base set with a gear, out of which rises a stem with central globe shaped node finely engraved and gilded with the seven continents upon which rests a large boiler form fixed covered cup with a flyball governor finial. The sides set with a crest of crossed anchor and trident within a laurel and oak wreath. The verso finely engraved with a side paddle steamship and the base engraved with the following ten names, Schwarzbach, Brauer, Gouselnikoff, Albrecht, Meltzov, Boehnke, Fryer, Sarre, Vogt and Steinbach. Hallmarked Saint Petersburg, dated 1867, Cyrillic makers mark for Ignatiy Sazikov, beneath the Imperial Warrant and with 84 silver standard. Height 12.25 inches (31cm) Total weight 25.75 troy ounces (801 grams).
