AN IMPRESSIVE RUSSIAN GILT-BRONZE AND MALACHITE TSAR ALEXANDER III PLAQUE, CIRCA 1885-1895. The rectangular plaque sculpted in high relief displaying a right facing bust portrait of Tsar Alexander III at center within an ermine cape formed frame overlaid with an abundance of roses and surmounted by crown. The finely crafted gilt-bronze plaque set on a substantial beveled malachite veneered base. 14 inches x 10.8 inches (35.5 x 27.5cm).
