A RUSSIAN ICON OF SELECTED SAINTS, 19TH CENTURY. At center, a full-length image of St. Nicholas flanked by the warrior Saints John and Dmitry. At top center the Old Testament Trinity, flanked by a gathering of five saints on each side. The lower margin with the birth of St. Nicholas, the death of St. Nicholas and the transportation of his relics. Overlaid with a silver repousse riza, hallmarked Kostroma, dated 1857, with indistinguishable maker's marks and 84 standard. 15 inches x 11 inches (38 x 28 cm).
