A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT FOOTED BEAKER, ST. PETERSBURG, 1842. The raised foot with foliage and holding a heavy flared cylindrical cup repoussed with scrolling foliates on a stippled ground, the front and back with shield-shaped cartouches one engraved St. Petersburg and dated 1842. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, dated 1842 and Cyrillic makers mark ИБ, probably for Ivan Bednyakov, and 84 standard. Height 4.25 inches (10.6cm). Gross weight 7.20 troy ounces.
