A RUSSIAN SILVER AND EMBELLISHED PURSE, MOSCOW 1908-1917. The rectangular hinged case engraved with strapwork and florals, embellished on both sides with charms, signatures and dedicatory inscription. Cabochon thumbpiece, silver carry chain and silk dividers inside. Hallmarked Moscow 1908-1917, 84 standard and Cyrillic maker's mark 'I.G.I.' for Gregoriy Ivanovich Ivanov. Length 8 inches (20.5 cm).
