A MASSIVE RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND SHADED ENAMEL KOVSH, WITH MATCHING LADLE, MOSCOW 1899-1908, Maria Semyonova. The body with 16 blown-out inverted tear-shaped panels and overall enameled with scrolling foliage and florals on a stippled gilt ground. The hook handle similarly enameled and with turquoise cloisonne enamel beading. Together with a matching enameled hook handled ladle. Underside of base engraved with monogram and hallmarked Moscow, 1899-1908, Cyrillic makers mark of Maria Semyonova (MC), 84 standard and scratched inventory number 8814. Length 9.75 inches (24.8cm).
