A PAIR OF RUSSIAN SILVER CIGARETTE CASES, MOSCOW AND ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1900. The first engraved with a landscape, a spray of flowers and applied name. Hallmarked Moscow, dated 1896, 84 standard and indistinguishable maker's mark. Length 3.25 inches (8.5 cm). The other with overall interlaced ribbed forms. The thumbpiece set with a gold mounted blue cabochon, the interior gilded. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, 1908-1917 and Cyrillic maker's mark P.V. Length 4 inches (10 cm).
