A CARVED & POLYCHROME WOOD FIGURE OF A BISHOP SAINT PROBABLY GERMAN CIRCA 1650-1700. The figure carved in high relief in half to three-quarter round and resting on an integral throne and pointing heavenward and holding a scepter. Retaining a good amount of the original gold-leaf and polychrome. With some minor losses and worming. Height 17.75 inches (45 cm), width 13.5 inches (34.25 cm).
