A RARE POPE PIUS X WORN ZUCCHETTO AND AUTOGRAPHED APOSTOLIC BLESSING WITH PHOTOGRAPH, Comprising a white moiré silk papal zucchetto with white calf skin lining, together with its original box from Tanfani & Bertarelli, Purveyors to the Holy See; and an illuminated Apostolic Blessing with vintage silver gelatin print photo of Pius X, hand signed on the lower margin. Also, a carte de vista size photograph of His Holiness together with a hand inscribed card on Apostolic Delegation, Washington D.C. stationary written by then Monsignor Bonaventura Cerretti, who writes "I, the undersigned, do hereby certify that this skull-cap has been used by His Holiness, Pius X and that His Holiness himself handed it to me in the audience of the 5th of July, 1913 for Mrs. Caroline DuMie of Philadelphia, PA"; and also with embossed seal.

Bonaventura Cerretti was, at the time, the auditor in the Apostolic Delegation to the United States of America. In 1925, he was elevated to the Cardinalate, where he later served as the Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura until his death in 1931. St. Pope Pius X was born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto and was elected the 257th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 1903-1914. He was canonized on May 29th, 1954.
