A FINE FABERGE SILVER-GILT AND ROSEWOOD PICTURE FRAME, HJALMAR ARMFELT, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1900. The rectangular wood form with beveled edge and centered with large oval exposition window lined with silver leaf-tip decorated border and beveled glass. The upper margin set with silver-gilt ribbon tied laurel swags and the lower corners with silver gilt rosettes. Verso finely finished and with flush mounted fold-out hinged strut. Hallmarked St. Petersburg 1897-1908, and makers mark FABERGE, Cyrillic workmasters initials ЯА for Hjalmar Armfelt and 91 silver standard. Height 8.3 inches (21.3cm).
