FOUR RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PLATES, KORNILOV, CIRCA 1890-1900. Comprising two matching diner plates with faux embroidered pattern on border and gilt banding, diameter 9.5 inches (24.2 cm), together with a pair of matching desert plates with Russian Fairy Tale inspired border decoration and gilded rims, diameter 8 inches (20.4 cm). The underside of each plate with factory mark of Kornilov beneath the Imperial Warrant and the latter two in English, “Made in Russia by Kornilov Bros.” Kornilov Brothers, St. Petersburg, circa 1850. Together with a porcelain cup and saucer, Beehive pattern, from the “Catherine” service. Cup diameter 2 3/8 inches, saucer diameter 5.5 inches (14 cm).
