A TIFFANY AND COMPANY STERLING SILVER PRESENTATION PITCHER, CIRCA 1883.The globular body with applied cast foliate bands above a fluted base and cornucopia band at the neck. Engraved inscription, “1833 May 8th 1883, presented to A. Robertson Walsh as a testimonial of the high regard and appreciation of his friends and co-workers the trustees of the Orphan Asylum Society in the city of New York.” Stamped marks “Tiffany & Co. 4706,” maker’s mark “5908,” “sterling silver 925-100 m. 5. ¼ pints.” Height 7.6 inches. Weight 25.43 troy ounces.
