A PAIR OF FRENCH RENAISSANCE STYLE WALNUT "CAQUETOIRE" OR CONVERSATION CHAIRS WITH TAPESTRY WOVEN SEATS, 18TH/19TH CENTURY.The elongated rectangular frame backs with shaped cornice supported by scrolled armrests each raised on two baluster turned supports and squared and turned legs joined by a shaped stretcher, covered in four fragments of an 18th century period woven French pictoral tapestry. Height 43 inches (109 cm), width 24 inches (62 cm), depth 18.5 inches (47 cm).
