A RUSSIAN ICON OF THE OLD TESTAMENT TRINITY WITH SAINTS, STROGANOV SCHOOL, 17TH CENTURY. At top center an icon of the Old Testament Trinity held aloft in the clouds. Below, a gathering of selected saints, from left to right: The Venerable Mikhail Klopskiy Wonder-Worker of Novgorod, the Apostle Saint Peter, the Archangel Mikhail, St. John the Forerunner, St. Paraskeva, the Apostle Saint Paul and St. Evdokia. Overlaid with a later (18th century) silver gilt and chased riza with indistinguishable makers mark. 12.25 inches x 10.75 inches (31 x 27.5 cm).
