A FINE ENGLISH EMBROIDERED AND STUMPWORKED PICTURE OF SOLOMON AND THE QUEEN OF SHEBA, MID 17TH CENTURY. The ivory satin ground worked with colored silks and silver metallic threads with details of beads and pearls. The king seated under a curtained canopy with the Queen and attendant presenting a gift surrounded by various birds, beasts, and florals. 11.5 inches x 10.75 inches (29.2 x 27.3 cm).
