THREE VERY FINE RUSSIAN LACQUER BOXES, PALEKH, 1932 AND 1940. The first depicting a country scene of travelers, signed and dated Palekh, 1940, numbered 3809, with indistinct artist signature. The second a glove box, finely painted with an animated rural country scene, signed and dated Palekh, 1932, with indistinct artist signature. The third decorated with a Pushkin fairytale scene, signed and dated Palekh, 1932 and artist signed "D. Butor?". Largest length 9.5 inches (24.2 cm).
