A RUSSIAN LACQUER CIGARETTE CASE AND BOX, PALEKH, 1934 AND MSTERA, 1944. The first of elongated oval form with over fitted lid, painted with a romantic scene of the shepherd, artist signed "Zudkov". The second depicting a fallen warrior with attendant, signed and dated Mstera, 1944. Largest 4.25 inches (11 cm).
