Lukashevich studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts and was awarded the title of artist 3rd degree in April of 1895. Soon after graduation he is listed as being an art instructor at the secondary level in St. Petersburg and some records show him as having exhibited with the Itinerants (exhibition #28 in the year 1900).
