A VERY FINE RUSSIAN ICON OF THE LORD ALMIGHTY, CIRCA 1880. Finely rendered in the traditional "Old Style" and with extensive use of chrysography. Here Christ delivers a blessing and holds an open book of Gospels to Matthew 11:28. The left margin with the Guardian Angel and the right with the Holy Venerable Alexandra. 12.25 inches x 10.4 inches (31 x 26 cm).
