The offered lot would seem to be from a number of works executed by Benois in and around Gloucestershire County in Southwest England, produced during his trip there in 1947. See: Sotheby’s London auction, An Important Collection of Works by Alexander Benois, November 29, 2011, where similar scenes were offered and sold.
