A FINE AND IMPRESSIVE RUSSIAN JEWELED SILVER-GILT AND ENAMELED KOVSH, VASILI AGAFONOV, MOSCOW, 1899-1908. Of traditional form, with raised prow, the lobed body enameled with vericolor stylized flowers on a stippled gilt ground. The upper section set with cabochons against a blue ground and the large hook handle similarly decorated. Underside of base hallmarked Moscow 1899-1908, Cyrillic maker's mark "VA," and 84 silver standard. Length 8 inches (20.4 cm).
