A RUSSIAN ICON TRIPTYCH, ST. PETERSBURG, 1839. The central ogee arched shaped panel finely painted with the resurrected Christ at center, and surrounded by five images representing various Feast Days, and at top center, the Old Testament Trinity. The left and right wing also depicting various Feast Day imagery and all finely painted in the miniature technique. The entire image overlaid with a silver, repoussé, and chased riza. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, dated 1839, with Cyrillic maker's mark "AD," and 84 silver standard. Each panel framed in a border of cloisonné enamel, and set into a polished wood folding case. 8.6 inches x 14.1 inches (22 x 36 cm).
