A FOUR-PIECE RUSSIAN SILVER AND NIELLO GROUPING, CIRCA 1850-1900. Comprising a large silver-gilt beaker nielloed with scrolling foliage. Hallmarked Moscow, dated 1854, Cyrillic maker's marks AR, and 84 silver standard. Together with a smaller but similarly nielloed shot glass with flared rim and gilded interior. Hallmarked Moscow, dated 1851, and with Cyrillic maker's mark IR, and 84 silver standard. Also including a nielloed shot glass with engraved cartouche and nielloed with the word KAVKAZ. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, 1899-1908, indistinguishable maker's mark, and 84 silver standard. Lastly a silver-gilt and nielloed compartment with hinged lid and suspension loops on verso. Apparently unmarked. Greatest height 2.6 inches (7 cm). (Unillustrated)
