A RUSSIAN ICON OF THE CRUCIFIXION, 19TH CENTURY. At center a gilt bronze inset double paneled crucifix surrounded by various images. Clockwise from upper left they are: Christ the Lord Almighty, the Three-Handed Mother of God, John the Forerunner, and the Mother of God from a diesis grouping. On the left and right of the cross are the two Vasiliy's. 14 inches x 12.25 inches (35.5 x 31 cm). (Unillustrated)
