A VERY FINE RUSSIAN ICON OF THE POKROV MOTHER OF GOD WITH SAINTS, CIRCLE GURIANOV, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1900. Within an arched Kovcheg at top center a finely painted image of the Pokrov Mother of God rendered in the miniature technique. Below, a gathering of six finely painted saints including the Holy Martyr Epifan, the Holy Martyr Katherine, the Archangel Mikhail, Holy John the Forerunner, the Holy Martyr Elizabeth, and the Holy Martyr Vnifantiy. 12.25 inches x 10.5 inches (31 x 26.5 cm).
