A MONUMENTAL VICTORIAN WALNUT JEWELER'S PINWHEEL REGULATOR FLOOR CLOCK, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Probably by Gilbert, the French pinwheel movement contained in a sheet bronze cage suspended within a burled panel walnut case with large glazed door inscribed "Standard Time" in gilt and with "Accuracy our 'watch' word" decal, surmounted by a triple arched pediment with carved stag trophy mount, the whole raised on a base cabinet with burled walnut panels, turned columns, and carved rosettes. Nice original condition and finish. Height 120.5 inches (306 cm). Width 34 inches (86.25 cm). Depth 12.5 inches (31.5 cm).
