A VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER FISH SET. John Aldwinkle and Thomas Slater, London 1887-1890, comprising eleven knives with pierced and chased figural fish blades and 12 matching forks with pierced designs. Stamped hallmarks include various date letters, lion passant, uncrowned leopard, Sovereign's head and maker's mark. Knife length 8.25 inches (21 cm). Fork Length 7.5 inches (19 cm). Total weight 41.33 troy oz.
