A VICTORIAN 18K GOLD, DIAMOND, AND ENAMELED SNUFF BOX. Of pillow form, the hinged lid with black enameled top inlaid with scrolled foliates surrounding an intaglio cut and gemstone mounted initial “W” containing 50 rose cut diamonds the largest approximately .05 ct. and above a stepped body with chased endless loop bands flanking an intaglio cut waist with inlaid gold scrolled foliates. The base similarly decorated with intaglio cut, gold inlaid and diamond set Lilies of the Valley. The interior stamped 18k within a keystone device and with makers mark “HF” in oval. Diameter 1.825 inches (4.8 cm). Weight 1.59 troy oz.
