A PATRICK HENRY SIGNED DOCUMENT DATED 1786.  Appointing William Horsley to Sheriff of Amherst County, Virginia, dated 16th of October, 1786 with paper seal lower left and signature of P. Henry lower right. A strong and distinct signature, paper with some discoloration and fold marks, 7.5 inches x 12.25 inches (19 x 31 cm). William Horsley (1722-1763) served in the military from 1778-1781 and was lieutenant in the Revolutionary Parents.
